"We want justice, we want peace," shouted dozens of students at Saginaw Valley State University, on their way to a nearby 7-Eleven Wednesday.

Seventeen Trayvon Martin from Florida was shot dead on his way back from a run snack by the Environment Watch Captain George Zimmerman. Zimmerman claimed to defend yourself, but in a video obtained by ABC News Wednesday showed George Zimmerman handcuffed with no signs of an attack. He was questioned but not get alimony in the death of Martin. In the case of students who trayvon martin participated in the March said the protest, but the call to end the cruel violence.

"In 2012, it's even more embarrassing that this incident still occurs," said senior Tanya Smith Goodwin.

Some people argue Zimmerman shot because he was intimidated by a black hooded teenagers. But Christian Patterson says it's about more than race, and instead calls for policy changes.

"I feel like these laws enacted to protect people but somehow we ended up with a 17-year-old dying individuals and a guy came out loose-something is not right here," said Patterson, criticizes Florida Legal Ground You Stand, which allows someone to use deadly force to defend themselves, where there is enough confidence from the threat.

Trayvon death Martin made the local youth circles, especially considering the recent violence in Saginaw. Jasmine Charlton didn't want his brother out on the streets at night.

"My biggest Fear-and I am completely restricted him from walking-is that someone will think he's a criminal and tried to shoot him," he said.

"No one knows about their neighbors and we become addicted to crime," said Goodwin.

And students say that it isn't very good. They want their calls for Justice and peace will be heard outside the walls of their environment.
